ScratchCrumble is a little program to enable the use of Scratch with the excellent low cost Redfern Electronics Crumble to control lights/motors/switches and read sensors. Which makes computing a lot more interesting and engaging for primary KS2 children.
By using Scratch, teachers and children’s existing knowledge can be utilised without having to learning a new programming language.
The combination of Scratch and the Crumble is the most inexpensive way of using computing to interact with physical devices.
On a practical note, if your school has some old Data Harvest Go switches/lights/sensors – these can all be used with the Crumble
