SKYQ LIRC config file
I’m playing around a lot with LIRC on the Pi and as part of that I’ve produced a fully working SKYQ /etc/lirc/lircd.conf file.
It turns out that SKYQ boxes are using RC6-6-28 with no toggle bits
RC-6-28 starts off the same as any other RC6 code sequence – its just got more bits on the end
Hi.
Is this file still working for you? All buttons are working for me, except the Home and Back buttons. I tried recording both buttons from my remote and replace the codes, but they still have no effect.

Yes – just checked and that’s exactly the codes I’m using – its used everyday to control SkyQ remotely from bedroom using a PiZero with IR LED
Can you paste your recorded codes here just to examine them as I’ve editied all my recorded codes for consistency but maybe my values of 444 and 888 need raising or lowering a bit to make them compatible with your system
Apologies for wasting your time. It turned out to be spelling errors in my script. Your file works just great! Thanks for sharing it.

MMM thought a sky Q was synchronised with a box – wonder how it gets round that~?
The bluetooth touch ones are but they also supply an IR one as well
The secondary q-mini boxes only use IR but the main ones use both BT and IR
Hi, any chance you could add the source button (bottom left of the standard Sky Q remote, to the left of the zero?
Thanks!
I’ll give it a go
Does anyone habe a configuration for the latest SkyQ remote (the one with the central blue microphone button)?
It provides IR signals on the following buttons:
-Power
-Source
-Home
-Volime up
-Volume down
-Mute
However, I am not able to generate a working configuration file which looks like the one provided above.
Thanks in advance for help
Jan
P.s. I need this to control my Hyperion light.
Hello,
does anyone have a working lircd.conf for the Sky Q Remote with the central blue microphone button?
This remote provdes beside bluetooth some buttons with IR which are:
On/Off
Source
Home
Volume +
Volume –
Mute
However, lircd does not create a conf like the one above…
regards,
Jan
Hi Jan
I think the remote will generate the codes for the type of TV you’ve programmed it to control.
e.g Samsung, JVC, LG etc
